OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Sub: Filling up of one post of Officer on Special Duty (Urban Transport) on deputation basis in the PB-4 of pay scale of ` 37400 – 67000 plus Grade Pay of ` 10,000/- in the Ministry of Urban Development.

The services of a suitable officer are invited to fill up one post of ‘Officer on Special Duty (Urban Transport)’ in the Ministry of Urban Development, New Delhi on deputation (including short term contract) basis for a period not exceeding 5 years.The post is likely to fall vacant shortly.

2. The post is in the PB-4 of scale of pay of ` 37400 – 67000 plus Grade pay of `10,000/- and carries all Central Government allowances as per rules.

3. The post is to be filled up only by deputation (including short term contract) from amongst officers of the Central Government or State or Union Territory Governments or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi Government or Autonomous or Statutory Organisations:

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre /department; or

(ii) with 3 years service in the grade rendered after appointment there to on regular basis in the Pay Band / Pay scale of ` 37400 – 67000 plus Grade Pay of ` 8700/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.

and

(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-

(i) Degree in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Structural Engineering from a recognised University / Institute or equivalent;

(ii) 15 years experience including five years experience in areas of appraisal of feasibility or detailed project report, project financing, project monitoring or quality control of projects, preferably in large

projects of Mass Rapid Transport System.

4. Period of deputation or contract including period of deputation or contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or in some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall not ordinarily exceed five years.  The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation including short term contract shall not exceed 56 years, as on the closing date of

receipt of application.

5. It is requested that the applications of the eligible and willing officers along with their up-to-date ACR / APAR dossier in original, cadre clearance and vigilance clearance may be sent to the undersigned in the enclosed proforma within 2 months from the date of issue of this O.M. or date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News, whichever is later.  Service particulars of the Officer(s) must be

verified by the sponsoring authority.  A certificate to the effect that no major / minor penalty has been imposed on any of the applicants during the last 10 years may also be furnished.

6. The applications received after the date or not accompanied by original up-to- date APAR dossiers and vigilance clearance will not be considered.
