Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the positions under World Bank assisted ICZM Project, West Bengal as  given in the table below. The project period now stands at four years and the staff at IESWM for the ICZM Project, West Bengal will be selected based on contract / co-terminus with the project. However, the continuation will be subject to review.  Increment of Salary during this period will be completely based on involvement in the project, performance and output. The selected candidates need to carry out strenuous field work in extreme climatic condition along the coastal zone.

2.Fisheries SpecialistM. Sc degree in Fishery Science with at least 55% marksMinimum 5 years experience (In case, of Ph. D degree, the experience will be relaxed to 2 years) after completion of M. Sc degree in coastal / marine fishery monitoring and management, proven skill in identification and inventorying of different species of coastal fishes and their conservation managementMonitoring & evaluation of reports and progress of work, provide technical support to of ICZM plan preparation, assisting SPMU regarding all fishery related issues for planning and implementation, different types of Ecological data collection and storage, Coordination for ICZM project implementation and monitoring of project impacts (ecological) etc40,000/-
3.Social Development SpecialistM.A. / M.Sc in Sociology with at least 55% marksMinimum 5 years experience (In case, of Ph. D degree, the experience will be relaxed to two years) after completion of Masters Degree, proven skills in writing articles, reports / research paper, preparation and social auditing of coastal communities and experience in analysis of social institution functions and mechanismMonitoring & evaluation of reports and proposals; input to ICZM plan preparation on coastal social institutions, socio-environmental analysis, demography, socio-economic development and social mobilization in project areas; sociology data collection and storage; environmental and social impacts & auditing; co-ordination for ICZM project implementation40,000/-
4.Procurement OfficerBE / B. Tech / CA / ICWA with MBA (of two years course duration) from any recognized UniversityMinimum 5 years post qualification experience; Must have knowledge in application of World Bank procurement guidelines and consultant selection process and experience in report preparation, Degree in material management (two years) from recognized University or Institute is desirable.Preparation of ‘terms of reference’, ‘Expression of Interest’ ‘Notice inviting Tenders’, ‘Request for proposals’ ‘Bidding Documents’ for selection of consultants for various services of the project; Evaluation of procurement plans of the project by applying procurement guidelines prepared for the project; coordinate ICZM project implementation and procurement of goods etc40,000/-

General Conditions: -
1.In all cases, experience in any World Bank / International agency funded project will be preferred.
2.Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate applications.
3.Persons working in Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Organisations should submit their applications through proper channel.
4.Candidates will have to produce the proof of details furnished in their applications, in original, as and when required.
5.The envelope containing the application should bear the advertisement number and name of the post applied for.
6.Applications received after due date, unsigned applications, applications without mentioning the post for which applied, applications not followed by the copy through proper channel (wherever applicable), and applications incomplete in any respect, will not be considered.
7.It may be noted that if, at any stage, it is discovered that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal or misrepresent the facts, his / her candidature will be summarily rejected or his / her employment terminated.
8.The applications must be sent in neatly hand-written or typed out in A-4 size paper.
