Advertisement for the post of Chief Operating officer, Air India Limited

Air India, which is in the business of Air Transportation of Passenger and cargo, Headquarters in Mumbai, invites applications from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Chief Operating officer (COO). 

 The COO would be part of the Top Management team and would be responsible for operations of Air India including Flight Safety, Ground Operations and Flight Training and will also be overall in-charge of Quality Management System (QMS) & Integrated Operations Control Cell (IOCC). He should be in a position to execute the Turn Around Plan of the Company. He will be on contract for a period of two years extendable by one year based on performance. 

 Incumbent should be a Commercial Pilot and should have qualified on any type of aircraft in the current fleet of Air India. Should have minimum 10000 hours of flying experience out of which at least 5000 hours as a Commander on any type of aircraft in the current fleet of the Airline and should be holding senior management Position or should have been a Fleet Captain with proven leadership qualities and impeccable safety record.   

He should be minimum of 50 years of age as on the date of publications of this advertisement (relaxation in age can be considered for outstanding candidate).   

 The compensation package will be based on Cost-to-the-Company (CTC) and would be negotiable based on qualification, experience in the Industry and other relevant factors. The fixed component of the package would be 60%, in the range of Rs.40-60 lakhs per annum and 40% (including perks) as Performance-Linked-Pay based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which will be determined by Management/Board.
